What is a Dental Spa?

A Dental Spa is a dental office that provides treatment that bridges the gap between dentistry/dental hygiene and health spas. More specifically, it provides therapeutic treatment that enhances the patient’s visit while healing, nurturing and serving the dental patient. Dental Spas are a dental establishment that is devoted to providing the best in oral health and fitness.

Spa Dentistry is a generic term that is defined by what a Dental Spa is. There does not have to be anymore thought of discomfort or apprehension of going to the dental office. Spa Dentistry has evolved from a group of caring dental personnel that wants to aid in the comfort and healing of their patients.

There must be an appropriate and professional purpose that benefits the patient. Dental offices that provide other services are not considered a true dental spa, although they may call themselves almost anything that is allowed by their individual state licensing boards.
